MemSaab, established in 2002, has received numerous accolades. It was the first Indian restaurant in the East Midlands to receive two AA rosettes, and The British Curry Awards, nicknamed the Curry Oscars by David Cameron, named it the Best Indian Restaurant in the Midlands in 2014. More recently, it received the title of Best Indian Restaurant at the 2016 Nottinghamshire Food and Drink Awards. It also features in the Michelin Guide and Harden’s.
Comfortably accommodating up to 200 diners, with two private dining rooms, MemSaab is the perfect setting for all occasions. The interior design, with its combination of traditional Indian craftsmanship and modern Indian art, captures the essence of India while placing MemSaab firmly in the 21st century.
While the elegant decor, varied menus and rave reviews suggest an accomplished fine-dining experience, what the wonderful team at MemSaab deliver is much, much more. Authentic, beautiful Indian food is served with genuine passion and style, in a delightfully unique, relaxed setting.
The à la carte menu features a range of dishes, from traditional, perfectly spiced curries and barbecued meats including the Lahori lamb chops and delicately spiced salmon tikka. MemSaab also embraces modern-Indian cooking; the likes of Ostrich, John Dory, soft-shell crab and beef steak are also found on the menu.
Owner, Amita Sawhney is always on hand to recommend dishes cooked and spiced to the diner’s taste. Dining at MemSaab is a rich and sensory experience. With its buzzing atmosphere and seamless service, MemSaab is in a league of its own. Amita continues to focus on improving the experience of Indian fine dining, while ensuring it remains accessible, affordable and most importantly, enjoyable!
