Delegate Packages

There are two delegate packages available: The Pigsty (day delegate package) and The Whole Hog (24hr delegate package).

Both packages feature access to a projector and screen, WiFi, whiteboard and pens, and include breakfast, light lunch and afternoon tea with homemade biscuits. The Whole Hog package also includes a two-course dinner and bed and breakfast.

Rooms and Location

The Crab and Boar features 14 spacious rooms, each with their own rustic countryside charm, and five of which include hot tubs. To add an extra level of comfort to your stay each room includes tea-and-coffee-making facilities, with fresh milk delivered to your door on a morning so you can enjoy a freshly brewed coffee from your cafetière.

You’ll find nothing but stunning countryside scenery for miles in every direction from The Crab and Boar, making walking and soaking in your surroundings the key activity for any stay. The area is also great for corporate team-building activities, with Royal Berkshire Shooting School for clay pigeon shooting and Newbury Races only a short drive away.

The nearest train station is Newbury, which is a 10-minute taxi journey from the pub.

There’s no need to venture out for fine cuisine during your stay, as The Crab and Boar is famed for its superb AA rosette-awarded fare. Sourcing all produce and ingredients from the local area, including seasonal game and seafood from the surrounding fields, lakes and rivers, the restaurant specialises in classic country pub dishes with an elegant and contemporary twist.
